&Barr CSO 2024
Community Impact Report
By: Shelby Eiger, PR Sr. Account Executive
2024 marks the second full year since &Barr launched our Corporate Social Opportunity (CSO) program, and we’re proud to reflect on all we accomplished together over the past year. We’ve compiled our efforts into a 2024 Community Impact Report, which we’re excited to share as we kick off another impactful year!
In our 2024 Community Impact Report, you’ll find updated totals of our time, talent, and treasure, including hours donated through volunteer work, hours invested in the future of our industry, hours served on nonprofit boards of directors and committees, along with financial and in-kind donations to nonprofits.
Our hope remains the same: to inspire other companies to join us in giving back in gratitude for all we’ve been given through our agency’s success. If your company is considering a CSO program, we’re happy to help. Below are a few guidelines we’ve implemented to continue our successful program:
• Each quarter, &Barr Team Members continue to receive eight hours of Volunteer Time Off (VTO).
• We encourage Team Members to use half of this time to volunteer with nonprofits in our CSO program, while the other half can be used to support causes that align with their personal passions.
• Deciding which causes to support can be challenging because there are so many worthwhile opportunities. However, aligning your support with your organization’s mission, values, vision, and legacy can make the choice clearer. At &Barr, we structured our support around three pillars — Past, Present, and Future — and reviewed our legacy support to identify nonprofit recipients. By focusing on fewer areas, we’ve created opportunities to make a greater impact.
